Getting Started Guide for Digium Phones

 

Dialing Plan:  When dialing, follow the guidelines below based on the destination: Dial 10 digit only.

 

􀃖 Intra office/branch:  4 digits (222x)

􀃖 Intra company:  4 digits (222x)

􀃖 Local: 10 digits (xxx-xxx-xxxx)

􀃖 Long distance: 10 digits (xxx-xxx-xxxx)

􀃖 Emergency: 911

 

Answer a Call

Use one of the following options:

􀃖 Lift the handset.

􀃖 Press the Answer soft key.

􀃖 Press the line button to answer using the Speaker.

􀃖 Press the Headset button.

 

Place a Call

Use one of the following options:

􀃖 Lift the handset and dial the number.

􀃖 Press the button for the line you want to use.

􀃖 Press the Speaker button.

􀃖 Press the Headset button.

􀃖 Press the Redial soft key.

 

Call Park

To put a call on hold so it can be retrieved from any other phone in the system:

􀃖 Press the Park soft key.

􀃖 Note the 2-digit Call Park number given and displayed on the screen.

􀃖 Hang up.

 

If other party does not pick up after 60 seconds, the caller will be returned to original phone.

 

To retrieve a parked call:

􀃖 Lift the handset.

􀃖 Dial the 2-digit Call Park number from any phone.

 

Transfer a Call

To transfer an active call:

􀃖 Press the Transfer key. The call is placed on hold.

􀃖 Dial the number to where you want to transfer the call.

􀃖 When the party answers, announce the call .

􀃖 Press the Transfer key again and hang up.

 

Voice Mail

Setup voicemail

Press x98(your ext) or *97 from your phone. Your default password is your extension number. Follow instructions.

When you have messages in your voice mailbox, the red light on the handset will light. To access voice mail (if available):

􀃖 Press the Msgs button.

􀃖 Follow the instructions on screen.

Mute

To activate and deactivate mute for the handset, speakerphone, or headset:

􀃖 Press the Mute button.

  End a Call

Use one of the following options:

􀃖 Hang up the handset.

􀃖 Press the EndCall soft key.

􀃖 Press the Speaker button.

􀃖 Press the Headset button.

 

Place a Call on Hold

􀃖 Press the Hold soft key.

 

To return to the call on hold:

􀃖 Press the Resume soft key.

 

If multiple calls are on hold:

􀃖 Press the Navigation button to select the call. -THEN- Press the Resume soft key.

 

Transfer Directly to Voice Mail

To transfer a call directly to someone’s voice mailbox:

􀃖 Press the Transfer soft key. The call is placed on hold.

􀃖 Press #.

􀃖 Enter the ten-digit telephone number.

􀃖 Quickly press the Transfer soft key again and hang up.

 

Direct Transfer

To transfer two current calls to each other without staying on the line:

􀃖 Scroll to highlight any call on the line.

􀃖 Press Select.

􀃖 Scroll to highlight the second call.

􀃖 Press Select.

􀃖 With one of the calls highlighted, press the DirTrfr soft key. The two calls are now connected to each other and you are dropped from the call.

 

Immediate Divert (if available)

To transfer a call, ringing call, or held call directly to your voice messaging system:

􀃖 Press the send VM soft key.

 

Forward All Calls

To forward your calls to another phone in your system:

􀃖 Press the more soft key twice.

􀃖 Dial the number or extension to where you want to forward all calls.

 

To cancel Call Forwarding:

􀃖 Press the more soft key twice

Select more, then off.
